Ubi's latest shooter smashes expectations
Ubisoft enjoyed a significant boost in sales revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2012-13 thanks mostly to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
The France publisher has posted sales of €131 million for the quarter, up 27.2 percentage above the €103 million posted pending the same period the year before.
In its financial release, the company place its good fortunes down to "higher-than-expected sales" of the Ghost Recon title, which topped US software sales charts in US in May and June.
Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot' outlook for the future is positive after a strong (arguably the strongest of all) E3 presence. "With 335 nominations and more than 160 awards at E3 2012, Ubisoft reaped the rewards of its pro-active strategy in the Core segment and demonstrated its powerful comeback in this category. Assassin's Creed 3 won numerous Game of the Show awards, Far Cry Three and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist made a large impression at the event, and our 2 new brands Watchdogs and ZombiU set social networks alight," he said.
"Our success at E3 2012 and the robust momentum of our Online games are positive indicators for achieving our full-year targets for 2012-13."

Sadly it will be the last Ghost Recon title I will buy. They have taken all the Ghost Recon bits out of the game. Its a good game, just not a good Ghost Recon game.
